

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Mr. Moore retired from Ford Motor Company after 30 years of service. He loved the Lord with all of his heart and served him for almost 50 years as a pastor in the prisons and nursing homes in Griffin and the surrounding counties. He loved talking about his Lord and Savior. After retirement he and his wife traveled many miles preaching in churches. He loved Gospel music and played the guitar and sang gospel songs. He was a member of West Sunnyside Community Church where he taught the men’s Sunday school class until declining health. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lily May Taylor Moore, sisters, Dorothy Pierce and Mildred Long, brothers, Clay and William Taylor.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Reba Moore; children and spouses, Deborah and John Crowley, Danny and Paulette Moore, Dennis and Glenda Moore; grandchildren and spouses, Jo Anna and John Leuck, Jamie and Craig Moreau, Nathan and Katey Crowley, Paul and Elizabeth Moore, Donna and Jonathan Pascoe, Lindsey Moore; 5 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, special niece and spouse, Janice and Gene Buice; nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. James Moore will be held on Monday, December 15, 2014 at 2:00PM in the chapel of Haisten McCullough funeral home. Entombment will follow in Westwood Mausoleum. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, December 14, 2014 from 6-8PM at the funeral home.
