Janie E. Fleming

Mrs. Fleming was born on July 17, 1919 in Brooks, GA. She was the daughter of the late Clark Foster and Bessie Felicia Elmore Woods. She was a retired LPN. Mrs. Fleming was a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church, American Legion Auxiliary Post 15, and VFW Post 5448 Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nathan Ray Fleming.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Connie Fleming, Fielding Fleming, Lon and Janice Fleming, John and Cheryl Fleming; daughters and son-in-law, Faye Milner, Emily and Frank Smith; 21 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family also survive.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Janie Elizabeth Woods Fleming will be held on Monday, July 4, 2011 at 11:00 AM from the sanctuary of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Turin Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Sunday, July 3, 2011 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Mt. Gilead Baptist Church in memory of Mrs. Fleming.
