Mr. John W. Chappell

Mr. Chappell was born July 7, 1923 in Hampton, son of the late Paul Kimble Chappell and the late Susie Walker Chappell. He was a member of the Berea Christian Church and a life-long mason of the Hampton Masonic Lodge. Mr. Chappell was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Chappell and sisters, Lillian Barnett and Frances Foster.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Chappell of Hampton; daughter & son-in-law, Marian & Paul Daigler of Atlanta; son & daughter-in-law, Paul W. & Beth Chappell of Hamilton, GA; grandchildren, Laura, Marshall and Emily Chappell. Many nieces & nephews on the Chappell, Foster & Barnett sides also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Chappell will be held Thursday, February 3, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at the Berea Christian Church. Minister Mike Portwood and Minister David Fulton will officiate. Interment will be private. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Berea Christian Church, Mission Work, 37 Woolsey Rd., Hampton, GA 30228 or to Helping in His Name Ministry Food Pantry, 85 Bellamy Place, Suite A, Stockbridge, GA 30281 in memory of Mr. Chappell
