Mrs. Katie Lance Spurgeon

Mrs. Spurgeon was born May 13, 1923 in Ben Hill, GA, daughter of the late Frank L. Lance and the late Susie E. Wilkes. She was a member of the Devotie Baptist Church. Her husband, Paul Raymond Spurgeon preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, David E. & Carolyn Spurgeon of Glencoe, AL, Joyce E. Spurgeon, Charles E. Spurgeon and Vickie S. & Charles Cash; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild and sister-in-law, Bertha Payne. Nieces, nephews and other family also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Katie Lance Spurgeon will be held Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Rev. Glenn Duncan will officiate. Interment will follow in the Berea Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday 1 hour prior to the service time.
