Kenneth Thomas Gibson

Mr. Gibson was born April 24, 1921. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church; AMBUCS, 50 year member of Swope Park Masonic Lodge #617 F&AM, Shrine Club, Yaarabs, Moose and Elks Lodge. Mr. Gibson was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruby Alfred Gibson and Ruby Rebecca Timmons Gibson and his first wife, Hazel Gibson.

Survivors include his wife, Jackie Gibson; children & their spouses, Patricia Wall, Ted & Pat Gibson, Kenneth Gibson, Jr., Richard & Leslie Gibson, Rebecca & Lyndon Smith; step-son and his spouse, Roger & Charla Butler; grandchildren, Rhonda Chambers, Melissa Tompkins, Stephanie Gibson, Hunter & Ben Decker, Brett Gibson, Katie Gibson, Miranda Tyler, Casey Gibson, Hannah Gibson, Logan Gibson Wood, Kerrah Wood, Alexandria Wood, Nicholas Butler, Brook Butler and great-grandchildren, Savannah Tompkins, Quinton Tompkins, Elizabeth Wyatt, Carson & Dylon Decker & Jacob Tyler.

Funeral services for Mr. Kenneth Thomas Gibson will be held Friday, October 17, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Dr. Med Roach will officiate. Entombment will follow in Westwood Mausoleum. Friends may visit the family on Thursday, October 16, 2014 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to Stepping Stones, 141 Futral Rd., Griffin, GA 30224 or to the Yaarab Shriners, 400 Ponce De Leon Ave., N.E., Atlanta, GA 30308 in memory of Mr. Gibson.
