Mrs. Carter was born January 24, 1938, daughter of the late Hazel & Lucille McAteer Rollins. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald L. Carter; sister, Yvonne Steele and niece, Amy Steele.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Beth & Jim Ray, Connie & Everett Smith, Donald L., Jr. & Michelle Carter and Tracy & Mark Richardson; 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Cryptside funeral services for Mrs. Mary Katherine Carter will be held Friday, February 6, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Westwood Mausoleum. Rev. Winfred Dixson will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, P.O. Box 650309, Dallas, TX 75265-0309 in memory of Mrs. Carter.
Haisten McCullough Funeral Home, 1155 Everee Inn Rd. is in charge of arrangements.
