

She was born July 12, 1914, in Manchester, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Clifford Gibson and Lizzie Trice Gibson. She worked for Dundee Mills for many years. Mrs. Wells was a charter member of Griffin First Assembly of God Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. Mildred was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her brother, Melvin Gibson and sisters, Thelma Tarleton and Gloria Pruitt.
Survivors include husband of 74 years, Theo Wells, daughter and son-in-law, Megan Joan Cook and Dennis Cook; grandchildren, Keith and Karen Cook and Chris and Cara Cook; great-grandchildren, Lauren, Daniel, Justin, and Tori Cook; sister and brother-in-law, Connie Conkle McAndrews and Bill McAndrews; brother-in-law, Russell Wells; nieces and nephews and other family members also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred Gibson Wells will be held on Monday, February 14, 2011, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Dr. Randy Valimont will officiate. Entombment will follow in Westwood Mausoleum. Friends may visit the family on Sunday, February 13, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
