Millard A. Bass

Mr. Bass was born May 5, 1927 in Concord, GA son of the late Willie Joe Bass and the late Mildred Fountain Bass. He was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of Devotie Baptist Church. Mr. Bass was past Master of Masonic Lodge #413 and Grand Chapter Father of the Order of the Eastern Star. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Ruth Hammock Bass; son-in-law, Roger Richardson and sister, Helen Harwell.

Survivors include daughters, Janice Richardson of Griffin, Jennifer & Larry Rollins of Griffin; sons & daughters-in-law, Kimsey & Pandy Bass of Pike County, M.A. “Tony” & Karen Bass of Brunswick; sisters, Nadine Buffington of Griffin, Virginia Buffington of Griffin; brother, Roger Bass of Griffin; sister-in-law & brother-in-law, Harvey & JoAnn Taylor of Palmetto; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Millard A. Bass will be held Sunday, December 11, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Dr. Benny Tate will officiate. Interment will follow in Westwood Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Saturday, December 10, 2011 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
