Ruthie Frances Chapman Goen

Mrs. Goen was born April 30, 1935 in Barnesville, daughter of the late James Jefferson Chapman and the late Opal Elizabeth Johnson Chapman. She was a member of Cornerstone Assembly of God, enjoyed vacationing especially in Helen, GA and spending time with her grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Thelbert Murray Goen, Sr.

Survivors include daughters, Sandra Wright and Donna Harrell both of Griffin; son, Thelbert Murray, Jr. & Tammy Goen of Griffin; grandchildren, Brandon Goen of Griffin, Nikki Hunnicutt of Thomaston, Tiffany Wilson of Milner, Heath Goen of Griffin, Keith Goen of Griffin and Amanda Lopez of Greenwood, SC; brother, Don Chapman of Hinkley, IL and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ruthie Frances Chapman Goen will be held Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Assembly of God. Pastor Jeff Shelton will officiate. Mrs. Goen will lie in state at the church from 1 – 2 p.m. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
