Thomas Franklin Brown

Mr. Brown was born January 12, 1935 in Meansville, GA son of the late Thomas W. Brown and the late Inez Gooden Brown. He was a member of Mountain Gap Pentecostal Holiness Church and served in the U.S. Navy for 25 years.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Phyllis Lifsey Brown; sons, Michael Brown, Mark Brown and Tony Brown; grandchildren, Kelly & Ryan Godfrey and Ashley Brown; great-grandchild, Riley Godfrey; sisters, Rachel Barfield and Myrtle Floyd and brother, Warren Brown. Nieces, nephews and other family also survive.

Cryptside services for Mr. Brown will be held Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Westwood Mausoleum. Rev. Ryan Linkous will officiate. Friends may visit the family on Saturday 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Navy Memorial Foundation, 701 Pennsylvania Ave., N.W., Washington, DC 20004 in memory of Mr. Brown.
