

Mr. Wall was born November 25, 1923 in Columbus, Ga. He was the son of the late Rev. T.B. and Cora Hoard. He was a W.W. II veteran of the United States Navy. He joined the navy when he was 18 and served from July 17, 1942 until October 18, 1945. He served as a Pharmacy Mate III Class. He was stationed on the U.S.S. Pinkney when it was hit by a Kamikaze Japanese Suicide Plane 500 miles from Japan. He owned and operated Griffin Air Cooled Engines for over 38 years. He attended First Assembly of God Church. He was preceded in death by his sister Audrey Connell and grandparents, Rev. W.H. and Carrie Lovin.
Mr. Wall will be remembered as a kind, compassionate man that loved God and his family. He always put the needs of others before his own needs.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, that he married on September 29, 1955, Martha Wall of Griffin; son and daughter-in-law, David and Pat Wall of Griffin; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Keith Hollon on Wichita, KS; grandchildren, Rhonda Chambers of Griffin, William Jackson Wall III “Skip” of Holly Springs, GA., Stephanie Trimmell of Park City, KS, Corrie Pruitt of Maize, KS, and Garrett Hollon of Wichita, KS; great grandchildren, Ethan, Gage, Trenton, and Kaitlyn Pruitt of Maize, KS, Trystan and Sayge Trimmell of Park City, KS, and Madison and Alana Wall of Holly Springs, GA., nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services for Mr. William Jackson “Jack” Wall will be held on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at 2:00PM in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Rev. Greg Marsh and Rev. Mike Freeman will officiate. Interment will follow with military honors in Westwood Gardens. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, November 30, 2013 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
