Amelia "Aimee" Alice Schneider, age 94 of Clinton Township and formerly Warren, passed away March 2, 2018. She was born in Detroit on April 28, 1923; the daughter of Charles and Amelia (nee Perugi) Lent. Aimee was very active in her community. She was a loyal member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church in Eastpointe where she was on the Parent Teacher League, the Ladies Guild and the Ladies Aid. Her administrative skills were well suited for being the corresponding Secretary for the Coin Club. She worked for five years at Henry Ford Hospital as a Ward Clerk where she was passionate about serving people in need. Also in support for her country and those who serve in the military, she was a member of the First Veterans Womens Auxiliary in Detroit. One of Aimees hobbies was bowling. Not only did she enjoy this activity throughout most of her life, she was even still bowling with a 10lb ball at the age of 85. Among a great number of things, Aimee will be remembered for her complete devotion to her family and especially for being the best mom anybody could have. She was one in a million and her smile exuded great evidence of that. Beloved wife of the late Maximillion. Loving mother of Sharon (Stanley) Jenkins, William (Rosemary), Kenneth, Diana (David) Larson and Karen (Randy) Ford. Also survived by many treasured grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; also caring siblings, Robert (Earline) Lent, Margaret (the late George) Huchla and Rosemary (Don) Hart along with many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by ten other siblings. Visitation for Aimee will take place on Monday, March 5th from 4:00 PM until time of service 7:00 PM at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr at Masonic, Warren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Thomas Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
