Angeline J. Doran

Angeline J. Doran, age 85, died peacefully at Shorepointe Assisted Living in St. Clair Shores on August 1, 2017. Angie was born in Detroit on August 4, 1931, the daughter of Joseph and Jessie (Mifsud) Cozzo. She was the second born of six children. She was a 1949 graduate of St. Vincent DePaul High School in Detroit. She continued her education at Marygrove College. On May 14, 1960 Angeline Cozzo married Daniel Doran at St. Vincent Church. For over 20 years Angie worked for the Detroit Edison Company. After her tenure at Edison, she did accounting work for many local Catholic parishes. She retired at age 81. Angies hobbies included golf, bowling, playing the piano and organ and playing cards. In her younger years she played softball and volleyball. Angeline is survived by three siblings: Rita Kubera, Katherine Wilsher (Ken) and John Cozzo; and nine nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Daniel in 2003 and her two brothers, Joseph and Robert Cozzo. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday at the A. H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Avenue at Vernier Road in Grosse Pointe Woods. The Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. Her body will lie instate at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 21620 Greater Mack at Overlake in St. Clair Shores from 9:30 am Saturday until mass begins at 10 am. Rev. Fr. Walter Ptak will officiate. Interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Detroit. The family has suggested memorial contributions be made to Parkinson's Foundation.
