Audrey Ferris

Audrey Ferris, beloved matriarch of her extended family, passed away on March 10, 2025 in Grosse Pointe Shores, MI. Born July 2,1931 to John and Mary Zardis in Philadelphia, PA, she was raised in Manhattan, NYC with her two younger brothers, Joseph and Manouso (predeceased). She is survived by her daughters, Dr. Mary Ferris and Georgie (Bob) Pachella; her grandchildren, Andriana and Tony; and her great-granddaughter Gideon; as well as many loving nieces and nephews and her cherished sister-in-law, Eleanor.

She was married to Tony Ferris (predeceased) in a mutually loving and devoted union. She lived a life that provided love and foundational support not only for her own family but for her many friends, as well. Her parents were both born in Crete and she, herself, was a proud Cretan American, involved in the New York City and Detroit Cretan communities. She was also an active member of the Greek Orthodox Church.

Visitation at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, Mack Ave, Grosse Pointe Woods on Wed. March 12 at 4:00-7:00 p.m. Funeral on Thurs. March 13, 10:00 a.m. at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, St. Clair Shores, followed by burial at Woodlawn Cemetery and then makaria at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church.
