Beverly Jean Henry, age 91, of St. Clair Shores, Michigan passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2024. She was born on August 1, 1932 to the late Friedrich Otto Tegtman and Mabel A. Tegtman (nee Montgomery).
Beverly is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raymond Leo Henry, and loving son, Paul David Henry.
Beverly is survived by her loving children, Katherine Lynn Henry, Jeffrey Scott Henry, and Cynthia Rae Henry; loving granddaughter, Elizabeth Anne Henry; and loving sister, Jeanette Elaine Rhoades (nee Tegtman). She will also be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews.
Beverly graduated from Northern Illinois University with a degree in education. She spent many years as an elementary school in the Grosse Pointe area, and then later became a licensed real estate broker in Grosse Pointe. Beverly was very active in St. Paul Lutheran Church and was an avid volunteer. She also enjoyed traveling and had the opportunity to travel all over the world.
A Memorial Service will be held for Beverly on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran at 10AM. (375 Lothrop Rd. Grosse Pointe Farms, MI 48236).
In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made in Beverly’s honor to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N Michigan Ave., FL. 17, Chicago, IL 60601, or to the Dementia Society of America, PO Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901.
