

Bruce Ball died on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at the age of 80 years old with family by his side. Bruce was a member of the American Legion Post #4 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. Bruce was born on January 11, 1935 in Nova Scotia, Canada. At the age of 16, Bruce and his parents Mary and Arthur Ball moved to the United States. A few years later, Bruce joined the United States Air Force and met his future wife Bernice Wasson in Maine. Together they raised three wonderful daughters, each of which were born in a different state. Bruce retired from the United States Air Force in 1973 after 23 years of being a nurse recruiter. From 1975 until 1986 he worked for Allen Industries as a Quality Control Engineer. In 1988 he started working for Maple Lane Golf Course in Sterling Heights, MI as Director of Leagues until 2008. Bruce loved golfing and was great at it. Some of his proudest moments was his 2 hole in one shots. The first was at Pohlcat Golf Course in Mt. Pleasant, MI and the second was at Heather Hills Golf Course in Bruce, MI. Bruce is survived by his beloved wife Bernice of 58 years; his daughters Beverly (Frank) Geier, Linda (Ronny) Roncelli, and Laurie (Jim) Bologna; 13 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. A private burial will be taking place at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan. Military honors will be performed by United States Air Force honor guard and the American Legion Post #4 honor guard. Memorial contributions to the American Legion Post #4, 401 Groesbeck Highway, Mt. Clemens, MI 48043 would be appreciated.
