Carl J. Bonner

Carl Joseph Bonner II, aged 72 years. Born of Mildred Evangeline Dufek and Thomas Henry Bonner, Sr. in Grosse Pointe Farms on July 15, 1947 and died November 4, 2019 in Warren, Michigan. Carl earned his high school certificate of completion from Lakeview High School in 1976. He then worked with his father repairing small engines. He attended Macomb Community College and Michigan Christian College (now Rochester College). Carl was a lifelong learner and continued his studies through Birmingham Bible Institute at Rockpointe Church in Sterling Heights, Michigan. Carls passion was loving and serving the Lord, and he spent countless hours at the Sterling Heights Public Library reading Scripture and studying Biblical texts. He participated in every class possible through The Woods Church. Carl was happiest surrounded by his church family. He is survived by his special friends Richard and Kimberly Twarowski and Kamryn Davis, brother Thomas Henry Bonner Jr., sister Gladys Nixon, aunt Alice Dufek, and other nieces, nephews and extended family. His going home services will be at The Woods Church of the Nazarene, 14300 E. 13 Mile Road, Warren, Michigan 48038. Viewing and sharing of memories from 3:00-5:00 with a Funeral service at 5:00.
