

Charles James Baker passed away on September 16, 2016 at the age of 69. He was born on August 24, 1947 in Detroit. He is the son of Charles Clifford and Marguerite (nee Mellon) Baker. Chuck attended St. Joseph High School and graduated from De La Salle High School in 1965. He graduated from the University of Detroit. He worked for TMR and Associates as a consultant for many years and was a dedicated adjunct professor at Walsh College for over forty years. Chuck was an avid golfer belonging to the Detroit Golf Club. He had a fun loving nature and was known for his sarcastic wit. Chuck was also very generous and thoughtful. His selfless nature was evident as he would put the needs of others in front of his own. He will be missed by everyone that knew him. On October 2, 1976 Chuck married Lois Mundy at St. Sylvester Catholic Church in Warren. They enjoyed nearly forty years of marriage together. Chuck leaves behind his loving wife Lois. He was proud of his daughters Megan and Nini and and son Chip (Maria). He adored his grandsons Charlie and Louis. He will be missed by his sister Loretta (Jim) Reno and nieces Sarah and Bridget. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2:00 until 9:00 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave., at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods. A Scripture Service will be held at 7:00 pm. Chuck will lie instate on Wednesday from 9:30 am until the time of the Mass of the Resurrection at 10:00 am at St. Paul on the Lake Catholic Church, 157 Lakeshore Drive, Grosse Pointe Farms. Father Joseph Kirkconnell will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St Jude Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or to Boystown at www.boystown.org.
