Charles E. Smith

Charles E. Smith was born October 11, 1945 in Detroit, Michigan to Beamer and Winifred Smith; one of nine brothers and sisters. He entered into rest March 19, 2016 in Roseville. He retired from Timco Manufacturing where he worked as a Tool and Die maker for over 30 years. It was while working for Timco that he met his wife Judy, the couple enjoyed 16 years together and were married for nearly 9 years. Charles was the life of the party wherever he went, and loved to talk and share stories with his friends. His favorite stories were of the 10 years he spent in Mississippi, with his father and brothers often fishing and hunting. He loved the outdoors and often enjoyed the warm weather from his porch with a cold beer in hand. Gardening was another favorite activity of Charles, his sunflowers were the envy of the neighborhood. An avid Elvis fan he loved to relax to the King and a hot bath after a long day. He leaves behind his wife Judy. His children Lou (Maryanne), Dina (Gene) Jesse, Kristy, and Travis (Tina) and step-children Bobby (Maria) Sikes, and April (John) Fish. He was the proud grandfather of Kyle, Austin, Sara, William, Aubrey, Wyatt, Mason, Savannah, Milana, Bianca, Johnny II, Darrian, Stephany and Robert. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 am at A.H Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Rd., at Masonic, in Warren. Visitation will be on Friday from 2-9 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the family would be appreciated.
