I just heard about the loss of Charlie and offer my sincerest condolences. Charlie and I were great friends back in our late teen years, and I was best man at his wedding back then. It sounds like he had a good life as a teacher and a father, and he will be missed.

Charlie and I worked together at Great Scott for a few years. Then I went to Europe with him in '75. I am Sorry I did not keep in touch with him when I moved away. I have fond memories of him playing his guitar and singing. I know he will be missed by all.

I met Charlie on the 1975 Europe tour as well. We kept in touch loosely over those early years. I'll remember the twinkle in his eye, his fun-loving personality, and for being a nice guy.Please accept my heartfelt condolences.

I also met Charlie on the European trip in 1975. I met Charlie at a reunion a few years ago and it was nice to get the chance to see him again after so many years. I will remember him most doing the part of a play of Jesus Christ Superstar while we were in Switzerland. I am sorry to hear he had suffered for a while with cancer. I will think of him often and I am sorry for your loss. He was a very nice person.

I met Charlie as a member of a group that travelled to Europe in 1975. He was a memorable character and my memories of him are fond. My condolences are extended to those he loved. -George Baier

I am so sorry for the loss of your loved one. I worked with Charlie at Pleasantview Elementary and we always talked about our kids and how much we try to be the best Dad in the world. Charlie you will be missed.

Mr. Taglione was my sons 5th grade teacher 2012-2013 school year!He was also my son's first male teacher and he loved having him.There birthday's were only one day apart! I met Charlie back in 1975 on a trip to Europe, w/ East Detroit's then German teacher, Mr. Rudy Wolf. We met up again a few short years ago for some storytelling and reminiscing. Charlie was fun loving, friendly and I will have many fond memories of him.

Bill, We cannot express our sadness for your loss. Your brother was a courageous warrior even though he didn't sign up for this battle. Allow yourself the time to mend my friend. Mr. T. I know we didn't talk much except the, hi bye and occasional words about Austin but you really were a nice guy and strong willed in making sure Austin and Johnny made a good life for themselves like making them go to school even though they didnt necessarily want to go and making sure the house was clean. They probably dont realize it but you were only doing it because you cared and thats what you were a very caring and loving person. Austin is a mess without you but he understands that youre no longer dealing with the never ending fight with cancer and he's proud that you made it through what your body allowed a year and a half. Im not sure how Johnny's taking this but I assume it must be very hard he loves you even though he may not show it You will be missed by your friends from your job and also Me,Austin,Johnny,Billy,and Scott Rest In Paradise Make sure you bowl those 300 games in heaven.
