

Scripter, Charlotte Marie, age 96, of Warren, died Mar. 1, 2012.She was born June 13, 1915 in Saginaw, Michigan and is the daughter of the late Charles and Charlotte (Klemach) Ditz of Saginaw, Michigan. Charlotte graduated from Saginaw High School in 1933, Bay City Junior College in 1935 and was a 1937 graduate of Michigan State Normal College (now Eastern Michigan University), Ypsilanti. She taught fourth grade for three years at Fuerbringer Elementary School in Saginaw, Michigan. Charlotte has always enjoyed music. She performed a solo toe dance in Saginaw when she was age 5. She played violin in high school and college and was "first Chair" in her high school orchestra. Charlotte also enjoyed singing and sang in choirs in elementary, junior high, high school and MSNC. On June 26, 1940 Charlotte married Francis Scripter and they have spent 71 wonderful years together. They have traveled to such places as Hawaii, Europe, Alaska, Orient, Pacific, Mexico, Canadian Rockies, and all over the United States. She and her husband have spent 26 winters in Bradenton, Florida. Charlotte has been a member of the Celtic Cross Presbyterian Church in Warren since 1948. For many of the earlier years, she sang in the church choir and taught Sunday School. Beloved wife of Francis Scripter. Loving mother of Suzanne Harris, Judith Evans, and Carol (Allen) Dowty. Proud grandmother of Timothy Harris, Jeffrey (Karyn) Faber, Debra Harris, Cathy (Christian) Hanson, Brandon Dowty, Andrew Faber, Brian Dowty, Erin (Jeff) Johnson, and step grandson William Faber. Great grandchildren Aiden, Olivia, Amaya, and Cameron Faber, Emma, Lindsay and Nathan Hanson, Kaitlyn, Holly, Dorien, and Zoe Faber, Joseph Harris and Ava Johnson. Sister of the late Dorothy (Ditz) Smith, Charles Ditz, and Joyce (Ditz) James. Visitation Sunday 3-9 pm and Monday 1-9 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr at Masonic (13 1/2 mile) Warren. Service Tuesday 10:00 am at Celtic Cross Presbyterian Church, 11451 East Ten Mile Rd, Warren. Instate at 9:00 am. Entombment at White Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials to the Scripter Warren Symphony Orchestra Endowment Fund, the Celtic Cross Presbyterian Church or charity of choice.
