Christopher R. Hattle, II

Hattle, Christopher R. II passed away at his residence on May 24, 2010 at the age of 40. He was born in Detroit on May 31, 1969 to Christopher and Constance (nee Edel). He graduated from Bishop Gallagher High School in 1987. He then entered the U.S. Navy where he received the Humanitarian Award for his services during Hurricane Hugo. Christopher was employed as a machinist for Maidstone Industries. He loved the outdoors, the water, kayaking, camping and hiking. Although he left us young, he lived a full and adventurous life. He was fearless yet a gentle and loving man. Chris grew up in Detroit and loved the city He especially loved the historic sites in Detroit. Christopher is survived by his son Steven; his mother Constance Messina and her husband Bob; his siblings Christin, Jimmy, and Rick, He was predeceased by his father Christopher R. Hattle. Visitation Thursday 4-9pm with a Scripture Service 7:00pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home 20705 Mack Ave. at Vernier, Grosse Pointe Woods. In state Friday 9:30am until time of Mass 10:00am St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church 21620 Greater Mack, St. Clair Shores, with Msgr G. Michael Bugarin officiating.
