Corrine M. Auty was born August 25, 1931 in Detroit to Edward and Victoria Gray. A longtime resident of the Metro-Detroit area, Corrine was deeply involved in her community and her church. In her own words Corrine "finally graduated" on December 29, 2017 with her family by her side. She was a very creative person who enjoyed painting, and making things for others. Many people both inside and outside of her family received hand sewn, or crocheted gifts for birthdays, holidays or any special occasion. She even made blankets for expecting mothers in her community. Corrine could often be found tending to her garden in the warmer months or going fishing with her family. Known for her patience Corrine was always there to listen to her friends and family, no matter the topic they wanted to discuss. She was also known for her jokes, and being able to get a smile out of almost anyone. Faith was extremely important to Corrine. A devout Catholic she was a member of the Queen of Peace Parish, and later St. Issac Jogues in St. Clair Shores. She volunteered frequently for her church and was active in several prayer groups. Corrine is predeceased by her parents, beloved husband Allan, and Brother Robert Gray. She leaves behind her children Julie Fayad, Kathy (Joe) Mifsud, Mary (Frank) Urso, Marjeanne (Bill) Camp, Lauri (Steve) Lambert, and Deanna (Greg) Browning and grandchildren Andrew Fayad, Michael Fayad, Joseph Mifsud, Laura Mifsud, Matthew Mifsud, Robert Urso, Anna Urso, Carly Camp, Marie Camp, Ben Camp, Bret Lambert, Danielle Lambert, Daniel Browning, and Nicholas Browning. She will also be missed by her sister Margaret Nurmi and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation for Corrine will be Thursday January 4, 2018 from 3:00pm until 8:00pm with a scripture service at 7:00pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Rd, Warren (at Masonic Blvd). She will lie in state Friday January 5, 2018 at 9:30am until the time of Mass 10:00 am at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church, 21120 Madison, St. Clair Shores. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to the Capuchins, and the Michigan Parkinsons Foundation. Please share a memory of Corrine on our guest book
