As a young man, Craig was an excellent snow and water skier. He taught himself how to play the guitar as a teenager and enjoyed playing the electric guitar for the rest of his life. Throughout his life he loved music of all types. To some of his cousins, he was like immediate family and they have said that every day with Craig was an adventure.
Craig played golf for a time in the Fisher golf league. He loved fast cars and fast boats. He was especially proud of his Donzi that he owned for many years. Craig loved to eat and astounded all who knew him by his resistance to gaining weight as a result. He loved all sweets, but especially ice cream. Being of Lebanese descent, he loved grape leaves. It was well known that you needed to get your fill of grape leaves before Craig did, or they would be gone. He was known for being the last one to finish eating at a large gathering as he also loved to talk. He dearly loved his two grandchildren who called him Grampy. Some that knew him believed that at various times in his life he resembled either Frank Zappa or Dick Purtan.
Craig was known for his off beat and irreverent sense of humor and the fact that if you were his friend, he would do anything for you. He was taken much too soon and will be missed greatly by the many that loved him.
A visitation for Craig will be held Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at A. H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave, Grosse Pointe Woods, MI 48236, followed by a celebration of life from 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM.
