Sad to hear Dale passed away five years ago. Back in 1982 I used to work as a photographer´s assistant at his London office "Toay & McAfee Assoc." My condolences to his wife, family and friends. RIP

In searching my files from which I make my annual contact with Dale, I was saddened to learn of Dale's passing. Dale and my wife and I spent many wonderful times together on our boats, the tennis court, in business meetings, at our yacht clubs and in bars and restaurants, Stories and laughter always dominated the conversations. Even though I have lived al long ways away for the last 12 years, I have felt close to Dale and never missed the opportunity to get together with Dale when returning to the Detroit area. What a shock to learn of Dale's passing. During my years in the Detroit and Grosse Pointe area my wife and I spent many hours with Dale and his family. I know how long he fought his disease and I thought he would be the one to beat it. Dale was a geat guy, boater, adman, tennis player and party man. Always ready to join in and always with a smile on his face. I pray that he is at peace now and that his family is being comforted by Dale's many friends and those close. Peace Dale, Al Angell.

We have known Dale since high school. We are so sorry we did not know of his passing. Our deepest sympathy. We have very fond memories of him.

Dear family, I'm so very sorry to hear this news! I worked with Dale for many years at Campbell-Ewald. And, I have many great memories of traveling with Dale to Miami to work on Eastern Airlines, and then to Houston to work on Continental Airlines. Dale always had a smile for everyone! He had a great sense of humor, was very smart and creative, and he was a very dedicated employee of Campbell-Ewald. He was also a great sales man bringing in lot's of revenue for the agency!! But, I know that he was most proud of his family!! He talked about his kids and eventually grand kids often! Peace to all of you!

I'm very sorry to hear of Dale's passing. Dale was one of my first bosses and mentors in the advertising industry, and a lovely person. His love for his family was evident in his words and actions, and he was proud of his children each day. He reminded us all of what was important in life. The memories of good times, and Dale's laughter, will always be with us.

I was sad to learn of Dale's passing. He was a wonderful colleague at Campbell-Ewald and a true gentleman. As many have cited, he loved his family, his community and the crazy ad business. My condolences and peace to his loved ones.

Dale always looked on the bright side ,Sarah and our kids Robert .ben , and phoebe looked forward to his visit every summer . all he wanted to do is spend time with the family and we have lots of great memories of that. dale was a good friend who lived near me at Riviera terraces.used drive him to the airport when I could so he could visit his children.he was very proud of you all.not feeling well so I don't want spread anything but would have loved to met you all.dale will be missed. steve

I was so sad to hear about Dale. Dale was my godfather and a huge part of my family growing up. He was a best friend to both of my parents and a close friend to my Grandmother Betty in her final years. I loved hearing his stories of this kids and grandchildren. The sure kept his spirits up! I worked alongside Dale on the order desk at Adcraft Engraving, however to long ago to remember the date. However, Adcraft was co-owned by my father-in-law, Bob Coe, and I was instrumental in getting Dale employed there. Dale was a great guy, very out-going, intelligent, conscientious and a real team player. Dale followed me into MacManus John & Adams and from there he went on to a great many accomplishments. I lost touch with Dale after being transferred to the New York office. Dale will be missed. My condolences to the family. Unfortunately, my wife and I are out of town and unable to pay our respects in person.

My thoughts and prayers are with the entire McAfee family. Dale was a great friend and he and I and others shared many great times together. Golf trips and especially the boating experiences will always remain in my mind. So sorry to hear about Dale passing on. The last few months had been painful for him and that pain has now ended. I will always remember all the laughs and fun times we had together at the Gold Cup Hydroplane races. Many cocktails were poured! Rest in peace Dale.

I met Dale as we both worked for the great Advertising Agency Young and Rubicom.Our offices were back to back as we labored on our clients business which was mostly the Chrysler Corporation, the atmosphere similar to "Mad Men". After Detroit our paths met again in London when we both took an International path. Dale was a great friend and colleague and I shall sorely miss him.

Dale was one of my first bosses at Campbell-Ewald over 20 years ago. Even though I was terrified of him in the beginning, I discovered he was truly a lamb, a gentleman and a highly respected friend. Most of our conversations over the years included his regard for Rose, his children and grandchildren. I'm truly sorry for your loss.
