Daniel V. O'Grady

Daniel V. O'Grady was born in Detroit on March 29, 1948 the son of Vincent and Patricia O'Grady. He passed away on December 19, 2016 at Beaumont Hospital of Grosse Pointe. Daniel graduated from Nativity High School, a member of the class of 1966. He graduated from Michigan State University with a pre-law degree then Wayne State University School of Law. He was self-employed He was a member of the Michigan High School Athletic Association and the Catholic Youth Organization. Daniel was a collector of sports memorabilia, especially baseball cards. Daniel enjoyed watching movies and reading. He also had a vast collection of movies, books, and music. On December 14, 1990 Daniel married Nora and celebrated 26 years of marital happiness. Daniel is survived by his beloved wife Nora, his children Kelly; Daniel, Jr.: and Andrea. His mother Patricia O'Grady as well as his sister Cathy and brothers John (Mary) and Mike (Shelly) also survive. He is predeceased by his father Vincent O'Grady. Visitation will take place on Thursday from 2-8 pm with Rosary 7 pm at the A. H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Avenue at Vernier Road, Grosse Pointe Woods. Daniel will lie in state on Friday 11:30 am until time of Mass 12 noon at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 21620 Greater Mack, St. Clair Shores. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
