David M. Nixon the son of Renee and Mark Nixon of Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan passed away peacefully January 12, 2016 after battling heart disease for most of his life. He was 28 years old. David enjoyed playing golf whenever he could. He often played up north while staying at his family's cottage. Besides golf David was excited about motorsports. He and his father were working on building their own race car. David touched people's lives in many ways. He possessed a big heart. He will be greatly missed. He is also survived by a brother, Christopher, sisters Sara Dzubak and Elizabeth Baltazar. His grandmother Betsey Jewell and grandfather Richard Nixon also survive him. There will be a funeral service Saturday January 16, 2016 10am at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave., Grosse Pointe Woods, MI. Chaplin Cathy Nowosielski will be officiating. His family will receive friends and visitors Friday 2-9pm at the funeral home.
