David G. Stewart

David Gregory Stewart, age 54 of Sterling Heights, passed away May 22, 2018. He was born in Detroit on May 8, 1964; the son of Gerald Donald and Grace Patricia (nee Bartowiak) Stewart. Dave was a dedicated employee at Specialty Coatings Inc. in Fraser where he was a Customer Service Manager and a man of many skills. Dave was very intelligent and received his Masters Degree from the University of Phoenix. Among many things, he enjoyed music and reading, spending time with his dog Mickey, and having a beer with friends. Dave was a bit of an old soul. Somehow he managed to have a somewhat quiet demeanor, while still maintaining his opinionated views. He was kind and thoughtful and if you knew Dave, it was always a pleasure to see him and spend time with him. He is deeply loved and will be dearly missed by many. Dear brother of Kevin Stewart and Jason (Elyse) Stewart. Loving uncle of Ryan (Claire) Stewart, Alissa (Cameron) Ferrello and Jon-Ryan Stewart. Cherished great-uncle of Embree Ferrello. Dave is also survived by many caring family members, friends and co-workers. Daves family will receive friends on Thursday, May 31st from 2:00pm until time of service 7:30pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr at Masonic (13-1/2 Mile), Warren. Casual attire requested. Please feel free to wear a T-shirt and baseball cap. No black, please. Also bring a story to share. A committal service for Dave will take place at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township on Friday, June 1st. Memorial contributions may be made to Sterling Heights Public Library, 40255 Dodge Park Rd., Sterling Heights, MI.
