

Denise M. Viane, age 55 died peacefully at Karmanos Cancer Institute on Monday, November 8 after a courageous struggle with cancer. She was born on May 3, 1955 in Detroit; the daughter of Leon and Vivian Ozark. Denise graduated from Grosse Pointe North High School in 1973. She worked for several years as a bank teller before her marriage. She soon became a full time mother. She was a talented seamstress, a great cook and enjoyed her hobby of craft making. Denise won awards for her Christmas tree decorating and was involved in a charity who auctioned off the decorated trees for the charity's benefit. Her passion in life was being a mom to her two children. Denise is survived by her children Michelle and Trevor Viane; her mother Vivian Ozark and siblings John (Sharon), Christine Frede (Thomas), Marsha Reiber, and Jeffrey (Michelle); and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her infant son, Justin; her father Leon J. and her sister Linda Ozark. Denise will lie instate at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 21620 Greater Mack at Overlake in St. Clair Shores from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until mass begins at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Msgr. G. Michael Bugarin will officiate. The interment will be private at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township.
