Askew, Dolores Anne (Nee Strye), age 92, of St Clair Shores (formerly of Grosse Pointe) Died August 14, 2009. She was born in Detroit on January 24, 1917 to Anna (Klaus) and Anthony "Tony" Strye. Survived by son Lawrence (Sue) and daughters Judith (Raymond) Wise, and Linda Sue Hollands. She was dearly loved by her grandchildren Wendy (Wise) White, L. David Askew, Jennifer (Wise) Elinski, Timothy Askew and Peter Askew. She was also survived by 15 loving great grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by her husband Henry Jr., and siblings Robert Strye, Norman Strye, and Phyllis Grainger. At age 81, Dolores retired from full time office employment where she happily used her talent in the art of communication and good humor. A private memorial service will be held.
