Edna M. Johnson

Edna M. Johnson died April 22, 2009 in Encinitas, California with family by her side. Edna and her husband, the late Norwood Jr., were long time resident of Detroit and only recently moved to Encinitas, California. Edna graduated from Southwestern High School in 1939. She worked as a buyer at Crowley's, manager for Hudson's, and worked for Schweitzer Real Estate. Edna is a member of the Order of Eastern Star and Cornerstone Baptist Church. Beloved wife of the late Norwood Jr. Loving mother of Norwood Wallace (Pamela M. O'Hara) Johnson. Sister of the late William Paul Wallace and sister-in-law of Agnes Wallace and Bryan (Mary Elizabeth) Johnson. Aunt of Elizabeth (Lou) Algieri, Linda (Art) Perra, and Donna (Thomas) Padula. Also survived by many grand nieces and grand nephews. Funeral Thursday 10 am at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Avenue at Vernier Rd, Grosse Pointe Woods. Visitation is Wednesday 3-9 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Assocaition, 20300 Civic Center Drive Suite 100, Southfield, MI 48076.
