Francis Albert Young, age 97, died on Friday, February 12, 2016. He was born on November 15, 1918 in Detroit, Michigan; the son of Frank and Marceline Young. He met and later married Jean Ethel Engelhardt on May 26, 1951 at St. Catherine's in Detroit, Michigan. Beloved husband of the late Jean Young for 62 years. Loving father of Linda (Charles) Trewin, Janice Sherman, Elaine Nadolski, Margie (Jesse) Lopez, and the late Karen Erman. Father-in-law of Dave Erman. Cherished grandfather of 8 and great-grandfather of 8. Brother of Lillian Thompson, Loraine Tear, Marceline Gosine, and the late Robert Young, Doris Hislop, Eileen Steinhauer, Jeanette Young, and Kenneth Young. Visitation Monday, February 15, 2016 from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Rd. at Masonic, Warren. Rosary Monday 6:00 pm. Instate Tuesday, February 16, 2016 from 11:00 am until time of funeral Mass 11:30 am at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, 31555 Hoover Road, Warren. Interment with military honors will be in Cadillac Memorial Gardens East Cemetery in Clinton Township, Michigan. Memorial contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project would be appreciated.
