

Frank "Duke" Mostek died on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at the age of 88. He was born on December 24, 1928 in Warren, Michigan; the son of Mabel and Frank Mostek. Duke was a United States Marine Corp Veteran. He first served for two years from September 1946 to June 1948 and the second was for 3 years from August 1948 to August 1951. He was a member of the American Legion #354 in Madison Heights and he helped build the Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Warren. He loved to play euchre and poker and enjoyed a candy or two. He was patient and loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren. He would take them hunting and fishing and teach them how to shoot a gun. But most important he taught them to respect the gun and never consider it a toy. Beloved husband of the late Gloria. Loving father of Patricia "Penny" (Denver) Hinkle, Sheree Tennant, and Janet Meeks (Rick Evans). Cherished grandfather of Jodi Hinkle, Donny (Brandee) Hinkle, Johnny (Dawn) Burrell, and the late Denver "DJ" Hinkle. Great-grandfather of Kyle Hinkle, Brianna (Eric) Luebchow, Brandon Bates, Nick Hinkle, Kaleigh Hinkle, Shelby Davis, Shane Davis, Savannah Davis, Ryan (Krystal) Smith, and Jacob Burrell. Great-great-grandfather of Nathaniel Smith. Brother of the late Edwin A. Mostek. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road at Masonic, Warren. Family will greet family and guests starting at 12 Noon at the funeral home. Memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
