Fred Granzotto passed away on December 7, 2013 at St. John Macomb Hospital at the age of 77. He was born in Detroit on March 24, 1936; son of Antonio and Adelle "Emma" (nee Bonesso) Granzotto. Fred graduated from Wayne State University in the 1950's. He worked for Michigan Social Services for over thirty-five years, retiring in the 1990's as a supervisor. Mr. Granzotto was an avid reader. He loved history particularly military history. He enjoyed all sports and was an expert with names and stats. Fred and his brother collected model trains. Their collection included rare brass pieces. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 3:00 until 8:00 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave., at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods. Mr. Granzotto will lie instate Thursday from 10:30 am until the time of the Mass of the Resurrection at 11:00 am at Assumption Grotto Catholic Church, 13770 Gratiot, Detroit. Father John Bustamente will officiate.
