Georgette Leopold age 94 of Macomb, Michigan died Jan. 18, 2009 in Troy. She was born Oct. 25, 1914 in Skidmore, Kansas the daughter of George and Germaine (Duez) Verger. She retired from Chrysler Corp. Vernor Trim Plant and J.L. Hudsons Department Store. She was a member of Parkside Community Church of Sterling Heights and was an accomplished painter of lighthouses whose paintings are displayed in the Lighthouse Park Museum. She also painted round saws and long saws. She was especially proud of her French heritage. Survivors: son, Dana. Grandchildren: Andrea (Chris) Jock, Drew, and Melanie. Great Grandchildren: Natalie, Abbey, and Jason. She was preceded by her husband Freeman in 1986.
