Dad, I miss you. I miss you like crazy. It hurts. I'm angry, and sad...But with these emotions, come a sense of relief. I know you are no longer suffering. You no longer have to struggle for a simple breath. I've already mourned while you were laying in that hospital bed unable to speak to me. I know you're better now. I know you would tell me to stay strong and don't cry... because you're ok. And I promise dad, I'll try to stay strong. I love you so very much and I know even though you are gone physically, your spirit is stronger than ever and you will walk by my side, always. until we meet again daddy, your little girl... always and forever. xo

Marcie, I am so very sorry to hear about your loss. As you know I, too, know the feeling of losing a father; your rock, your life, your love. As you said in your memory, he will not be here in body, but he will be here in spirit and forever in your heart. Yes, the feeling of anger, sadness, and, at times relief, will carry on for some time. As sick as one can be I know, like me, you think that they are just going to wake up one day, overcome their illness, and walk out of that hospital bed. No one can ever face the fact of losing a loved one, especially a parent. They're supposed to live and be there for us forever. You will never get over his loss, but you will always have his memories. He will continue to guide you and be by your side. It is for you to keep his spirit within your children.
