Gilbert Thomas Bousho

Gilbert Thomas Bousho "Gil", age 73 of Harper Woods died peacefully on March 29,2024. He is the son of the late Agnes Bousho. Gil attended St Cyril High School in Detroit. After graduating he decided to follow in his mother's footsteps and enlisted in the armed services. His mother was in the Navy and Gil chose to serve in the Army. He was stationed in Alaska and received his honorary discharge.

After serving his country, Gil went on to become a machinist and worked until his retirement. In his younger years, Gil loved to travel. He visited Europe and the Holy Land. His hobbies included swimming, Bicycling, and walking. You would often see him walking to his favorite restaurant, Lyla's , on Mack Ave for a carryout. He enjoyed being around his friends. They would meet in the morning for coffee either at Eastside Bagel or at Eastside Bakery. In the afternoon or evening, they would bring something to drink and meet at Blossom Heath by the water.

He will be missed by his friends and neighbors.

A visitation for Gilbert will be held Friday, April 5, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at A. H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave, Grosse Pointe Woods, MI 48236. A funeral service will occur Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 10:00 AM at A. H. Peters Funeral Home.
