Gilbert Roland Cousineau

Gilbert Roland Cousineau died on Saturday, February 6, 2016 with family by his side. He was born on August 28, 1951 in Detroit, Michigan; the son of Roland Edward and Margaret Mary Cousineau. Gilbert was a great softball player and enjoyed bowling. He was a car enthusiast and an avid University of Michigan sports fan. Some of his more memorable moments were smoking cigarettes with Bob Seger behind Notre Dame High School. Beloved ex-husband of Chris Cousineau. Loving father of Paul Cousineau (girlfriend Candace Smith) and Kelly Zawisza (Joe). Adoring grandfather of Brooke, Natalie, Kennedy, and Jackson. Brother of Robert Cousineau (Doreen), Adele Aldrich (Tim), Keith Cousineau, Alice Cousineau, and Lori Clark (Gordon). Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road at Masonic, Warren. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will be in White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, Michigan. Memorial contributions in memory of Gilbert Cousineau would be appreciated by the family.
