Isabelle I. Atchison

Isabelle Atchison passed away on December 16, 2013 at St. John Hospital, in Detroit, at the age of 84. She was born in Mt. Clemens, Michigan on September 25, 1929; daughter of Richard and Viola (nee Bushey) Rivard. Isabelle was a 1949 graduate of St Mary High School in Mt. Clemens. She had many jobs over the years, but enjoyed being a homemaker and raising her children. She was an intelligent woman who was full of suprises. She was an excellent cook and baker. Belle was a very creative. She was an excellent seamstress who would buy bolts of fabric and make dresses for her daughters. Crocheting came easy to her and she will be buried with one of her afgans. She was a handy carpenter, electrician and plumber who would basically complete any home repair or remodeling job by herself. Wife of the late Kenneth Atchison. Dear mother of Debbie Clark, Brad Hernden, Peggy Smith, Luanne Bishop Kelly (Paul), and the late Tim Atchison. Grandmother of Jennifer Smith, Sara Atchison, Wolfgang Goerlich, Jacob Goerlich (Carla); Lynn, Deanna, Eric, Kimberly, and Tammy Clark. Great-grandmother of Joe Garcia and Riese Goerlich. Great-great-grandmother of Travis and Logan Garcia. Sister of Joseph Rivard. Predeceased by 14 siblings. Visitation Friday 5:00-9:00 pm at A.H.
