
Jack Moxon passed away peacefully with his family by his side on June 16th, 2020 at the age of 75. He was born on December 31, 1944 in Barrie, Ontario, Canada; son of Lawrence and Anna (nee Hooley) Moxon.
He is survived by his loving wife of 7 years, Lenetta. He was proud of his children Jessica (Rob) Brewer, Meghan Moxon, Benjamin Moxon, and the late John Moxon. He adored his grandson Caleb. He leaves behind his dear sister Linda Roos. He was predeceased by his parents and brother William Moxon.
Jack was a decorated veteran in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He served as an active duty marine for three and a half years earning the Purple Heart for injuries sustained during combat. He continued to serve in the Marine Corp reserves retiring as a Captain and receiving numerous accolades.
Jack was a multi-talented person who enjoyed life, especially playing the piano, coaching his children’s sports teams, and making others laugh.
A Memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, June 25th from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave., at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods. His cremated remains will be inurned at Arlington National Cemetery, in Arlington, VA at a later date.
