James A. Sherman

James A. Sherman, age 68 of Sterling Heights, passed away on May 3, 2018. He was born in Detroit on June 24, 1949; the son of Walter and Elizabeth (nee Palma) Sherman. Jims caring nature was enhanced by his ability to fix just about anything. He would do anything for anyone and was often found helping others. Jim was very social and was thought of as everyones best friend. He loved to entertain and had a great sense of humor. Jim loved the Detroit Tigers and the Detroit Lions and his competitive nature lead to mastering games like Corn Hole and Bocce Ball. He also enjoyed fishing and bowling. Most of all, Jim cherished his time with his family. Jim is dearly loved and will be deeply missed. Beloved husband of Bonnie. Loving father of James (Grace), Tim (Jolene Goldman), Lisa Sherman, Kelly (Jason Kowalski) and Joshua Sherman. Treasured grandfather of Austin, Justin, Kyle and Myles. Dear brother of the late Ann. Jims family will receive friends on Sunday, May 6th from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM with an evening prayer service at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr at Masonic (13-1/2 Mile), Warren. A funeral service will take place on Monday, May 7th at 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
