NEIL, JANE M. (Nee Hoisington)May 2, 2011 Age 73 Beloved wife of the late Maurice. Dear mother of Robert and Brian (Lori). Loving Gramma of Ashlee, Ali and Lea. Dear sister of Paul (Betty), Jack, Bob (Linda) and the late Cork. Sister-in-law of Alice. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral service Friday 10 am at the A. H. Peters Funeral Home 20705 Mack Avenue at Vernier Road, Grosse Pointe Woods. Visitation Thursday 1-9 pm. Interment Elmwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Michigan Humane Society. Mrs. Neil retired in 1995 as a secretary with the Grosse Pointe School System where she served for 15 years. She was a 1956 graduate of Southeastern High School. She enjoyed going to garage sales, gardening, and loved her dogs. Traveling to Traverse City and Tennessee with friends was a favorite pass time. She enjoyed luncheons with co-workers at Grosse Pointe Schools. Jane loved the opera and was a former member of the Michigan Opera Theater chorus. She sang in the choirs of the First Baptist Church of Southfield, Our Savior Lutheran in Detroit, and Redemption Lutheran Church also in Detroit.
