Jane Carol Thompson

Jane Thompson passed away on December 23rd suddenly after a courageous battle with seizure disorders, at the age of 21. She was born on February 7, 1990 at Bon Secours Hospital; daughter of William and Lorraine (nee Basco) Thompson. She was a graduate of Grosse Pointe North High School. Jane continued her education at Loyola University and Macomb Community College. She loved to read and excelled at writing. Ms. Thompson loved the Harry Potter movies and followed the Twilight series avidly. Jane was a kid at heart. She had a special bond with her brother Billy (Natalie). She loved children especially her niece Alina and nephew Nicholas. She will be deeply missed by her parents and grandparents Bill and Claire Hunt and William Thompson. She is survived by many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. Jane was predeceased by her grandmother Nancye Thompson. Pets (especially dogs) were a very important part of Jane's life. She had rescued dogs from the Michigan Humane Society and will be deeply missed by her best friend Sadie. Memorial contributions may be made, in lieu of flowers, to the Michigan Humane Society at 30300 Telegraph Road, Suite 220, Bingham Farms, MI 48025. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2:00 pm until the time of the funeral at 7:00 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave., at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods.
