Janice is not gone for she will sit on our shoulders watching over us until we meet again. Don't be sad be happy that we have someone like her watching over us. Our Fathers proudly serve together on the Detroit Fire Department.

To All of Janice's Family: We are so sorry to hear of her passing. Our parents were long-time friends. We will keep you all in our prayers.

So very sorry to hear the news of Janet's battle with cancer. May she rest in peace and may the good Lord watch over Paul.

Words cannot convey the immense sorrow I feel for the loss of this very special woman who I called my friend, Jan. Those whom she loved felt very special to her, as she had a way of making us feel so important to her. She went above and beyond. She had an infectious laugh and a great sense of humor, finding it in most all circumstances. I will miss her greatly. I will pray for those who loved her as well, as this is an awful loss to you. As my daughter told me when I broke the news to her-"she's one of the good ones." We will miss her, but we are SO fortunate to have known her.

How do I put into words the warmth Janice extended all the days I had known her? She looked after me when I was young, helped me understand the world a little better through her opinions, and shared laughter when we were together. Her door was always open, welcoming us in to visit, chat, share a glass of wine. Janice will always have a large, manicured garden in my heart where she's still laughing, and enjoying those gathered around her. That's how I will always remember her spirit. Mark Twain said this "Let us live so that when we come to die even the undertaker will be sorry." I am truly sorry to see you go, but wish your memory to lighten us all.

We wish we could be there with the family. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. We love you, Aunt Janice.

Dear Paul -- We were very saddened to hear of Jan's passing. Please know that we are thinking of you. Our hearts go out to you and your family.

GRACE - How you climb up the mountain is just as important as how you get down the mountain. And, so it is with life, which for many of us becomes one big gigantic test followed by one big gigantic lesson. In the end, it all comes down to one word. Grace. It's how you accept winning and losing, good luck and bad luck, the darkness and the light. Jan will forever be my role model for grace and courage. She was an amazing lady. Even in the end, her hands held the grace of a woman of strength. She will always have a special place in my heart. Paul, May your memories and love for Jan bring you peace and may the love of family & friends that surround you bring you great comfort. Thank you both for being our angels. Love, Michele
