Jeffrey John Roberts

Jeffrey John Roberts was born on September 21, 1963; the only boy and youngest of four children. He grew up in Harper Woods and graduated from Grosse Pointe North High School. He was a gifted athlete competing in Basketball, Baseball, Football, Hockey, and tennis. He had set local records for the most homeruns in a season. He went to Lawrence Tech. to study computer technology. He landed a nice job programming computer software. He bought a home on Willowby Street in Eastpointe, and after his roommates moved out, he met and married the love of his life, Lisa. Jeff and Lisa raised their sons Anthony and Joseph happily, and eventually moved to St. Clair Shores to start a new life in a new city. Jeff found a new career in vacuum retail working long hard hours to support his family. He always found time for his wife Lisa and was always there for his two boys. He tried to be the best husband and supported fully whatever his sons' dreams were. He loved to cook with his oldest son Anthony and taught him his secret chili recipe. Jeff would tell stories of the past loved wrestling with his dog Miah. He always supported his youngest son Joseph, proudly watching him become a man. Jeff was a caring and selfless man. He wanted nothing except for happiness for everyone around him. He loved his family more than words could describe, and will always be remembered in their hearts. He was proud of his sons Anthony and Joseph. He was predeceased by his parents Richard and Olive. He leaves behind his sisters Karen (Timothy) Brys, Vivian (Max) Ehlert, and Linda (David) Curry. He is survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2:00 until 8:00 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave., at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. Mr. Roberts' funeral will be held on Friday at noon at the funeral home with Monsignor G. Michael Bugarin officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joan of Arc Church, 21620 Greater Mack, St. Clair Shores, MI 48080.
