Jerry Lee Jarrard, age 70, died on Thursday, August 20, 2009 after a long struggle with cancer. Born in Cherokee, Iowa; Jerry later attended the University of Iowa, where he met his wife, Elizabeth. A keen genealogist and local historian of some note, Jerry was a teacher at Roseville High School for many years. He is survived by his older sister, his wife of 46 years, his daughter, three sons, and three grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 28 from 5 pm until the time of the funeral service, 7 pm at the Grosse Pointe Woods Presbyterian Church, 19950 Mack at Torrey Road, Grosse Pointe Woods.
