

Jim George Weeks, age 88, a resident of Warren for many years passed away on Monday, March 23, 2020. He was born on Sunday, March 29, 1931 to George and Ruby (nee Godin) Weeks in Cheboygan, Michigan.
Jim was a proud follower of Christ and his faith guided him throughout his life. He was an active member of The Woods Church, and attended service regularly at their Warren Campus. He was also a very generous person, who made sure to use his time and his money to better his community. He often donated to the Michigan Humane Society and spend 17 years volunteering in the infusion center at the Karmanos Cancer Center in Detroit. His warm smile helped ease the worry of many patients throughout those years.
A proud veteran Jim served his country in the 101st division of the Army Air Corps. during the Korean War. Upon his discharge Jim returned to his work as Truck Driver for several years. In addition to being a truck driver Jim later became a flight instructor out of the Oakland County Airport located in Waterford. A jack of all trades, Jim was very handy around the house and could fix almost anything. He never hesitated to help a neighbor, family member, or a friend with carpentry, electrical, or plumbing. He also loved to build large model airplanes in his spare time.
Jim is the beloved husband of Jean Weeks. He will also be deeply missed by his children Debra Weeks and John Weeks, and grandchild Zane D'Souza. He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M., Friday, September 18, 2020 at the Woods Church, 14300 13 Mile Road, Warren,
