We just found out when booking an appt on Feb 20, 2014. So sad as he was a great doctor and made me feel at ease when doing a spine injection. I will really miss him and will say prayers for him. I am deeply saddened by the sudden loss of Dr. Joel Rojas. Many people and friends lost a doctor and a friend while my family lost a future husband, step father and I a son. I am the father of Joel's fiance Kristen Lemke and I could not have chosen a better fit for two fantastic young adults. Joel was so wonderful with my grandchildren and Kristen. Watching Joel interact with Kristen and my grandchildren was magical. He was so patient and caring with the entire family whether they were fishing or shooting the basketball late into the evening. Joel also had a special bond with Kristen's dog, Diesel, a Bull Mastiff. Many evenings you would find Joel, Kristen and Diesel stretched out on the couch.
