John P. Carlson passed away on February 20th peacefully, at the age of 81. He was born on April 17, 1934 in Detroit; son of Paul and Blanche (nee Craig) Carlson. Mr. Carlson was predeceased by his wife Mary Lou. He was proud of his daughter Debbie (Chet) Jackson; and sons Bob (Nancy) and Craig (Diane). He will be missed by his grandchildren Matt, Jen, And Steph; and great-grandsons David and Michael. He leaves behind his sister Ginger Holtcamp and dear friend Angie Orlando. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave., at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods. Mr. Carlson's funeral service will be held on Wednesday 10:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will be at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
