John Batista Caruso

John Batista Caruso passed away at his home on November 6, 2017 at the age of 59. He was born in Detroit the son of Sam and Lucille Ann Caruso on February 21, 1958. John enjoyed the warm weather and loved to spend his day fishing in the outdoors. He especially loved football and all of the Detroit sports teams, college and pro. He had a big heart of gold and loved spending time with family and friends. John loved music and movies, and his library is outstanding. He was a alumnus of Austin Preparatory High School and the University of Detroit where he received a Masters Degree in hospital administration. John is survived by his father Sam Caruso, his sister Virginia DiBella (Salvatore), his brother Sal Caruso, nieces Angela DiBella, Gabrielle DiBella, nephews Eric (Megan) Wiesemann and Mark Wiesemann. He is predeceased by his mother Lucille Ann. Visitation for John will take place on Thursday November 9th from 3 until 9 pm at the A. H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Avenue at Vernier Road, Grosse Pointe Woods. A funeral service will take place on Friday at 12 noon at the funeral home. The reverend Bob Johnson II will officiate. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
